Default Serious Problem

so i was driving around last night, only going 35mph. and out of no where all of my dash and warning lights turn on, the needles on all the guages jump up and then went back down, and the trip reset itself. the car was still driving, i could shift, and the radio worked.

what the heck could this be?

it's a 1999 chevy camaro z28 M6

Yep, sounds like a Gm. You don't need all those bells and whistles to drive the car, they are just extras they put into the build.

Like metalmechanic said, discon the battery, let sit for 15 mins, reconnect.

I had this same exact problem happen to me. A few minutes later it happened again but the car shut off. I jiggled the wiring going to the engine fuse box and it started back up. Then i heard a "bzzzzzzzzz" sound while driving until a loud "POP", and it never happened again after that.

i see your cars a 99...possibly need a new battery...99s had some funny *** **** where if the battery was low it would reset all of the gauges

i know you were driving, but its worth a shot

Loose Ground, bad battery, or wet fusebox.

I think the plastic gear in the headlight motor is getting stripped.
