Default Gear Pin bolt rounded off. How to get it out???

Trying to take my gears out and the stupid pin bolt wont break loose on the carrier. The 8mm head rounded its self when i tried to use a wrench. Any ideas on how to get it out?

its a 5/16 thats prob the issue, if it isnt too badly gone i would try to tap a 5/16 6 point socket and 1/4 drive on it and try to shock it loose

No the bolt head is gone, the metal is so weak every socket i got on to it it would round it off.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I hate my 2.73's and i have everything needed to install it. But it wont help if i cant get it out.

Im gonna keep going til something happens. Its gotta come out sooner or later. Where can i buy a new pin bolt at?

Surely someone in FLA has a factory 10 bolt from a stick or with a better ratio in it.

I wouldn't even waste my time working on one.

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...+Taps+%26+Dies

You can get these in different sizes, sets, for impact wrenches, etc.

Find the next size smaller socket that doesn't want to fit on and pound it on with a hammer. I know you don't have much room to work and it's a right angle, but stick a pry bar or something in there to pound against.

The other option is a bolt extractor from Sears. Though you may have a difficult time finding a bolt extractor that small.
