Default F**K Power steering

Found a P/S leak in my car, thought it was the return line, switched it out...and its still leaking. Pressure line seems fine, but after i threw it on the lift it looks like its coming from the reservoir. So now I have to remove the pump and according to some searches this mean I have to remove the radiator to take the pulley off? Is there any way around this? any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can pull the entire pump without having to take the pulley off .. i did it when i did heads cam setup.

then you can get the pulley off with the puller and replace.

you can carefully put a wrench to the three bolts that hold it to the block. Wratchet wrenches work wonders

if memory serves there are 3 bolts. go from the top, there is one bolt that will take 3-4 minutes or so.... you just have to be patient and work it out with an open ended wrench slowly as you cant turn it much. the wrest are fairly easy and straight forward if i remember correctly... been over a year since i did it, but all that matters is it can be done

also if i were you id probably install the pump and then install the pulley on the pump, will go a lot faster for reinstall. The install tool is usually included and is only a long bolt and a nut and washer usually. should be no problem with space with that tool. Atleast thats how it usually is done, never actually looked at the power steering on a ls1 to see if it is threaded or not...

In order to remove the pulley, I need the pulley puller from autozone but it seems to be very larger and near impossible to fit it in between the radiator and the pulley, any suggestions?

Well spent the day removing the pump and installing the new one, today car seems to still be whining at times when i turn it hard. Is this just the car getting the air out of the lines? or do I still have a problem? Going to check for leaks tomorrow ill let you guys know I really appreciate the help.

did you bleed the pump? open the cap and turn the wheel from side to side, I did it 20 times back and forth and that did it for me. good luck

Whats the difference? and Is it possible my steering rack could be making the whine? I figured it was the pump but both the old and new one made the same noise.

im in the same boat. I know my rack has some serious issues, everything else has been replaced! I like elias's idea. Shorter belt.
