Default Axle C-clip removale

My axle seal is leaking so I removed the rear diff cover, drained the fluid, unbolted the pin and pulled out the center piece. I slid the axle forward as far as it will go but I can't get the Fing c-clip off to slide the axle out. Any ideas and or advice is appreciated.

Its most likely hitting the wheel speed sensors on the brake backing plates at the ends of the entire unit.... unbolt the sensors and that will give you enough extra room to slide them in further...then they should drop right out.

Just stick a pen magnet in against the c-clip and have someone tap the end of the axle with a rubber mallet. It should slide right out.

Default Thanks to ls1silverado05

Your advice was spot on once the speed sensor was removed I had enough room to get the c-clip out. The rest of the job went well, I really appreciate the help of this board.

Did you replace your bearing or just the seal? What brand(s) did you use or are recommended? I need to do my bearing (and thus seal) soon and I only want to do it once and not put some crappy seal in that will leak on me.
