Default A4 z28 making a clunking sound!!

I have a 2000 z28 a4 and when i put the car in either R(Reverse) or D(Drive) it makes a clunk sound. Also sometimes when it shifts from 1st to second i feel a little pull and i hear that same clunk sound. Could it be bad u-joints or rear end? Also when i turn u can hear it make some wierd noise...fluid is good...Any help would be appreciated guys thanks.

your tranny mount could be worn out. check to see if there are any cracks or even piece missing from it. when they go bad , your transmission is moving around and thats a " not good thing "-

might also be your torque arm bushing going out. I had both go bad and when the tranny mount went it sounded like the tranny was gonna drop outta the car whereas the torque mount wasnt as noticeable.

I'd say bad tranny mounts, but I wouldn't completely rule out the u-joints. You gotta get under the car anyways, so check the u-joints first, then yank back-and-forth on the tranny to check the mounts.
