I have Longtube Headers, ORY, and SLP Loudmouth II exhaust. I am going to get High Flow cats welded in on Friday so that should take care of the gas smell...I had the computer mail order tuned and couple codes were removed. Will I fail for that?

youll still fail for the longtubes cuz it moves the location of the cats. if you go to a shop and have it inspected they might overlook the visual as long as you pass the sniffer tho

you might get by. i'll be going through inspection with the same setup next year. since you've gotten it tuned, i'd assume you've got no ses light on. last time i went they didn't even pop the hood so they won't notice the !air and !egr and what not.

when are you going through? i wanna hear how this turns out

You won't pass if you're throwing codes. There is no sniffer on OBDII contrary to the above post.

i went through a state inspection facility and they never popped the hood or looked under the car. moving cats is illegal in pretty much every state i've heard, but it's not really enforced(except in cali haha)

It also depends on the shop. My shop here in NY just plugs in the computer to the obd2 port and then the state system reads it and passes it.

They never popped my hood either when i went to inspection. I know a few gas stations and repair shops up here in northern NJ will inspect you. My one friend owns a shop that does inspections. He passes everyone for like 100 bucks
