Hey fellow Canadian with an 01 Trans Am!

Plug wires aren't that expensive, they are very easy to change. And if they are worn out you are shorting yourself (literally and figuratively) on performance and economy. They wear with age, not just mileage.

Change them.

11 1/2 years on my factory wires, the last 7 years with my 427ci. Close to 180,000 total miles.

They're perfect.

I put Taylor 10.4mm Thunderbolts on my 427ci, they suck *** and 5 of them broke at my first plug change with them after about 20,000 miles. I kept my factory wires and put them back on.

I;'m actually gonna change them out in a week or two just for the hell of it.

Did this guy work at Pontiac? If so, do not listen to him.
