Those that have changed LS1 battery terminals/wires>>
I am in the process of changing out the wires/terminals and would like to know the best way to gain access to where the negative wires end on the lower right side of the motor.
I can clearly see where they are bolted, but have no idea how to squeeze in there.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

No one else out there in LS1 land has changed out their battery wires/terminals?
Above I said the negative wires on the lower right side of the motor, but it is actually one negative and one positive. If you have changed them, you are familiar with what I am speaking about.
Again, I thank you for the assistance.

I've changed the + cable, but not the - cable.
I was able to loosen the nut on the starter post with a long 3/8" drive extension over top of the K frame accessing it from the front. No need to remove the starter.
The biggest pain in the *** was sticking the new + cables into the loom that runs behind the rad fans and over to the alternator & fuse block on the drivers side.
As with any automotive operation, take it slow and you'll make it.

I appreciate the replies.
Yes, the starter needed to be removed in order to gain access. Once that was done, it become relatively easy. Still a little tight, for my Andre The Giant hands, but it worked out.
The wires/terminals were replaced with an aftermarket set from Innovative Wiring. The difference between this kit and stock is staggering.
