SES Light WTF
Anyone know of an override for the SES light? Im tired of the thing coming on every week or two and would like to get rid of it once and for all. Any suggestions?

You really should read the code so you can decide if you want to ignore the light.

YOu have something wrong. Go tomorrow, get a free scan at an auto parts store and let us know tomorrow what the code is.
And no matter what the code is...DO NOT buy anything from them to fix it, just report back here first.
Later.

Ok the code was P0704 which is a clutch switch circuit failure... probable causes Failed clutch switch or open or short circuit condition.
Explanation: Vehicle speed went from 0 to 24 MPH and back to 0 MPH with no clutch switch change.
Anybody seen this one before?

Ok did some researching on the forum... found a guy with the same code and possible fixes. One of the tech guys asked if the cruise control works? Mine hasnt worked since I bought the car a few months ago... here is what he said...
"mine threw that code and the gm guys said it could be anything from a switch all the way up to the ecu. i did some looking and found out that it is a little switch mounted close to where your master cyl connects to the clutch petal, i screwed it in because it appeared to be not making contact with the petal. after i tried that, my cruise worked and it did not throw the code again.
hope that helped"
Anybody got a pic or a better understanding of where the switch is?
