Default running engine with broken oil pressure sender/switch? need answer ASAP please

the piece that always breaks when you swap intakes. friend of mine broke his and can't get a new one for a few days, but needs his car.

will it hurt anything or just cause the oil pressure gauge not to work?

On my 3rd gen the fuel pump would shut off if it didn't detect oil pressure a few seconds after startup. Not sure if that's a separate sensor/switch on the 4th gens. Other than that I would only be worried about not knowing if you lost pressure, but I guess it wouldn't hurt anything.

You won't have a problem driving it with a broken sensor, I've seen more than one Corvette or F-body driven here with broken or bad sensors for me to replace.

Itll work, I remember when I busted mine, it looked like it was just a clear diaphram that was keeping the oil in, so I would keep it to a minimum and definitly not push it to hard, but it should hold out.
