Default Can't get MAF all the way on SLP Lid

I got the top part on no problem but the bottom part of the lid cannot or will not go completely over the bottom area of the MAF, but now I can't even get it back off because its tight on the top, can't even get a flathead in between the two to seperate them. The MAF fit perfectly with my whisper lid, but since it was cracked I had to switch it up with something different.

Any ideas on how to get it off and to get it to fit the way its supposed to?

I heated my lid over the kitchen stove to get it on.

I used a dremel with a sanding disk. Ported out the lid opening to the maf. Slid right on with a little force.

I stuck my lid in the front window on a hot summer day for 30mins to soften it. Slid on much easier.
