Default Drive Shaft U-joints bad?

I have 70k miles on my ta. I am doing a clutch swap and when I pulled my DS I noticed it seems like the u-joints should be more free feeling than how they feel, they feel tight. I guess I might as well press some new ones in.

Yup, sounds like they are toast.

Replacements that you can grease, not the sealed kind. Sounds like yours dried up on you. Comes with the miles on your car.

Spicer and Currie make great U-joints. I would also shop at a driveshaft shop and see which ones they would recommend selling you.

For Jeeps, CTM makes a bad a$$ joint but I don't know if they make one that will fit our driveshaft.

yea they are prolly gone. the sealed joints you cant grease, look for a zerk (grease) fitting, this will tell you if you have a sealed unit or not :-)
