Angry problems with new alternator

So i put a new alternator on last weekend drove a few times during the week and everything worked fine took it out friday night and noticed the volts were running around 10. So brought it home charged the battery up. Saturday i started it up and the same thing again then when it was running in the garage i for a few min. it the alternatorkicked in and volts went where they should and then it kicked back out. It has done that a few times yesterday. So i took it for a ride and it never kicked in by the time i was home the volts were around 8 and all the lights on the dash were on. Any ideas

well after the 3rd altenator and a new battery found out that was only part of the problem. Come to find out the wire that tells the altenator what to do was broke inside of the plastic plug that conects to the altenator.
