Surging idle on cold start after intake swap
I have a problem with my car trying to find the right idle after doing an intake swap on an 02 z28.
When I first start up the car, the idle will flucuate between 400 and 700 RPMs for about a minute and then run as normal. While it is doing this I can smell that the engine may be running a bit rich. It will also stall occaisionally.
Drivability and gas mileage are fine, but this problem is a nuissance. I am not throwing any codes and have been unable to find a vacuum leak.
Any thoughts?

Intake manifold. But I had an epiphany last night. When doing a search last night I came across a couple threads talking about the IAC motor causing idle issues. Once I started thinking about it, I thought about the gasket that came with the BBK intake for the TB, it covers the damn IAC port! I took the TB off last night and cut a hole in that spot and now it has started up fine the last dozen times. Thanks LS1Tech!
