Default Running rough...again.

Alright heres what happens. I start the car. Its idle immediately drops and car dies, unless I give it some gas and slowly let the gas out until its sitting about idle range then it will sit there. After that when I drive it and I go to sit at a stop light or stop sign or take it out of gear period. The engine ALMOST dies unless I keep my foot on the accelerator giving it gas. Just had a new pcm put in like the dealer said and they said it should fix it. Well obviously it isn't fixed..ugh idk what to do!

IAC valve maybe. And no, you won't always get an SES light....you'll get the SES light and/or a code when it totally fails. Kind of like an idiot SES light/code.

Also, the car doesn't do it when its at operating temperatures, just when it's cold started.

What kind of transmission do you have? Do you have the same issue in neutral?

I figured out what it was. My battery had a bad connection, so when it was sitting there it would reset the pcm everytime I turned it off. Causing the new pcm to have to relearn everytime I started it. Running great now. Thanks!
