Code: P0410 Help!!!
Dealership wants to charge me $500 to fix this??? What can I do? Can try to unplug it, plug it back in, maybe clean it or something??
I read somewhere it can be a simple fix.
Any ideas?? I can't get ripped off right now.

Put the pump back in, have the dtc cleared and it will not kick again.
I am assuming you took your air pump out?? Or is ti just malfunctioning.
Did you touch the distribution block in the back??
I took mine out, did not touch the header fittings. no biggie. I am having it deleted next week by my tuner, as long as you do not touch that block near the back of the motor, your fine.

First thing I'd try is clearing the code, and check to see if the AIR PUMP fuse is blown. Since you don't have emissions inspections you could remove the secondary air system and/or have the air system codes tuned out. The reason the dealer wants so much is because of the diagnostics: www.gearchatter.com/viewtopic9356.php

this is how to diagnose the unit.
Like said check the fuse and the unit.
To access, its on the driver side, under neath the nose. its accessed by the plastic black panel.
I have emissions so that code needs to go bye bye

Clear code, check fuse and relay under hood. Is your AIR pump coming on when you start the car cold? Should sound like a hairdryer from under the driver's headlight. If is it coming on and you still get that code, the check valves could be not functioning properly, they're about $15 each from a parts store. Good luck.
