Default Rear Window Defogger Short Cycling

My rear window defogger doesn't run the full cycle it seems. when it runs, it gets very little of the "fog" off the windshield. My defogger in my 96 Bird was much better. Is this normal?

I didn't install it, but it does. Could that be causing the problem?

Tinting can either mess up or completely hind a defroster function. I had the same issue on my 94 z28 and I just gave up caring during cold days.

It could just be a bad defroster auto-off relay. https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...er-switch.html

Mine does the samething. Only stays on for about 15-20secs then shuts off. And it won't turn back on for several minutes. But it's done it since I bought the car from its original owner. I just bare with it, and look for obstacles before I even back out of the drive way. LOL
