Default Alternator charging problems

I have been having some problems with my car(00 Camaro SS) I thought it was the alternator but it must not be. I was driving one day and the amp gauge was lower than normal and my gauge lights were blinking. I thought the alternator was going bad so I had it rebuilt and the amp gauge is still reading low. So I bought a new alternator and the gauge still reads low. I had the batter checked and its good. I don't know what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

make sure your exciter wire is in good shape (the wire that gives 12V to the connector in the alternator to tell it to charge) i had this issue once fixed it right up

I checked the exciter wire and it looks fine.

Check the battery cables or connections.
