Default Cold Mornings Running Lean

I have a 2002 Z28 with only basic mods (catback ets.) On cold mornings, 42 degrees or so my car throws a running lean code and the SES light comes on. I took it to a dealer and they can't seem to get it to throw a code (I guess because the day starts to warm up). Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks.

If it trips a code it should have freeze frame data stored as long as no one cleared it. You probably have a vacuum leak or a maf issue. You can find out by going over the motor with propane or carb cleaner while watching the short term fuel trims with a scanner (not a code reader).I would suggest getting a new mechanic.
