Default will a 93 z28 fuel pump work in a 97 camaro 3.8?

wasnt sure where to post this

but heres the idea
i have a 93 z28 that i dont drive.

i have a 97 camaro 3.8 that i'm trying to sell. the fuel pump went bad. so i took the fuel pump out of the 93 z28.

was this safe?
car runs fine.

if thats fine. then my next question is... are the fuel pumps off ebay ok to use in the z28?

or would i be better off putting the original z29 pump back in the z28. then buy a ebay fuel pump for the 97 camaro 3.8 that i'm trying to sell?

I am almost sure that you won't have a problem with using the z28's fuel pump in the 3.8, since it plugged in nicely and the z28 pump maybe works harder than a 3.8.

So it will be fine.
Ebay car things are a hit or miss. Car may or may not run, or just run like crap because not enough fuel being pumped.

I purchased a walbro kit from Blanco on here for like $90 shipped.

I have a feeling that thing will fail in no time.

heres what the ebay one says

Performance:

Pressure: 30-115PSI Operation Pressure;

Flow: 210-255 Liter Per Hour, at 3.0Bar/13.5V;

Voltage: 12V Min.

would that work better or worse than the stock z28 pump?

I really suggest looking for a gm unit from a junkyard/craigslist/classifieds here from a totaled car.

It 'd save you the headache n some time.

the u-pull-it junkyards here take the fuel pumps out.
the regular junkyards will probably want 100+

do the 99-02's have different engines or something? or is it suppose to say 98-02? my 98 firebird has the same engine as my 97 camaro. so it should work?

I'm not sure on the year they changed but they use to have 3.4 liters in the Camaro's then went to the 3.8..... the 97 and 98 would both have the 3800 Series engine so it would be the same.... They changed the v8's in 98 as everyone knows...I think it was like 95 when they changed from 3.4 to 3.8....could be wrong though but I'm pretty sure I'm right...
