Default ignition stuck

Last time I drove my Camaro (98 Z28) I had a hard time getting the key out. It seemed like it didnt want to come back to the 'home' position. I went to start it up today and the key goes in but wont turn. It seems like it is lined up right but wont budge, and it doesnt have much play in it. How do I go about fixing this and what is my problem.

Sounds like your key may be worn out. If you have another one, give it a try.

Yea. I'd recommend going to a dealer and asking them to "punch" a new key for you. - Don't let them grind you a new key!!! Most dealers have a punch kit and just need to dig it out for you. They will also have a grinder that will cut a "new" key, but they have to be adjusted perfectly to give you a perfect key. A punch will get it just-like-original on the first try.

Since your key is so worn, they may have a hard time reading the code off of it. An experienced key person should be able to get it, but if not, they can look up the original code by your VIN - but that is usually an extra $25-30 charge.

Problem might be the key - it's the cheapest thing to try first.

But I suspect your lock cylinder might be the problem.
