Default do this when taking car to the shop if you care!

Hey guys, I just thought of something I wish I had done before taking my car to get a monster clutch/tick mc installed. Walk around the car with the mechanic and make note of all the scratches on your car!. Just like they do when you get a rental car. I went to check up on my car I saw a scratch I didnt remember seeing before. So I drove home all pissed off with anxiety thinging the mother fer is going to scratch the mess out of my paint!!! I could have saved my car and my sanity by just taking 5 minutes with the guy to write that stuff down. It also gives you some paperwork to prove it if they do scratch your car and you have to fight them to fix it.

Car can get scratched anytime it's out of site.

It's uncommon for a shop to scratch car, but it can happen. Personally, I wouldn't do the walk around. It gives the shop the impression you don't trust them. Then you will get the PITA tax factored into the bill.

It happens for sure. Especially if you are having a shop install some brand spanken new rims you gotta eyeball them for any tiny scratches and let them know you will not tolerate it.

It does give them the impression that you don't trust them, but it also gives them the knowledge that you care about your car.

If you don't let them know you care, they won't know to be careful.
