Default Why is my carpet wet!?

Yesterday I was vacuuming out my car and when I lifted up the driver's side floor mat I noticed that the carpet was wet. It was a wet spot about 5"x5" that was clearly visible. I got paper towels and stepped on them over the wet spot and they were getting completely soaked. I did this over and over again and the spot still seemed to be very wet. I checked again today and the spot is still soaked. My t-tops don't leak when it rains so I know it isn't dripping down from that. I just think it's really weird that it is only wet under the floor mat but not on the floor mat itself. It seems like maybe the source of whatever is making it wet is coming from under the car. If anyone has any idea what might be causing this please let me know. Thanks a lot.

It's closer to the seat. It's clear and odorless so I assume it's water?

just cause you dont see water get it when it rains doesnt mean that your tops dont leak a little, i dont see any water in mine when it rains but occasionally it has a little bit of water in the car

It could be that the weatherstripping on the door or around the door is going bad and the water is traveling down to that spot. I'd check the weatherstripping on the door and the around the door.

It could also be entering from where the hood release latch connects to the cable that enters the cabin. It is a common leak point for F-bodies and many times you can find rust under the hood release latch.
