It does sound like an alternator problem. First make sure you that all the connections are good and intact. Second make sure none of the cables are corrosive or partially gone. Dont go to autozone to get it check. Anybody can get hired there and dont know what the hell they are doing and just tell you crap. Take it to a shop. (NOT ADVICE, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK) I always unpluged the battery (The RED SIDE)and if it turns off then its the alternator because its not giving out a charge or possibly the cables. If it does stay on then its giving charge just something is off between the alternator plugs to the battery. Double check everything. Let us know if you fixed or need some advice and let us know how you fixed it and what it was. Antonio.

I don't understand what you're saying. If you've got a factory cluster and an autometer gauge for voltage they're more than likely tapped into the same signal wire. You could be getting an incorrect signal voltage. If you take a multimeter/volt-tester and check voltage across your alternator while the car is running obviously you'll be getting the most accurate reading.
If you've replaced the alternator and the voltage numbers you get are still unstable the belt would be my next guess. Does it squeal or make any noise at any point during the cars heat cycle? Check the belt tension and check for cracks.
Buy me a ticket to Kuwait and I'll come fix your car

okay first off we cant possibly tell you if you have a bad belt or not. you should be able to tell that just by looking at the belt. make shure you tensioner is in spec. and also use a DVOM to check the voltage and not the gauge

I replaced all cables , pigtail , belt and now i have 4 alternators and all of them working good , I waste all my money on the alternators !!

Ok...this is not a hard system. First, does the car still die since you have replaced all of these things? Take your multimeter and check voltage on the battery (red meter wire to positive and black to negative). Start the car and check the voltage at the battery the same way. With the car running you should be about 13.5-14vdc. If this is true then the alternator, belt, wires and voltage regulator are good. If something is wrong with this step try checking voltage right at the alternator wires. If its good here then you need to look at the wires between the alternator and battery.
Also, check to make sure the engine is grounded really good. Set your meter to "ohms" and put one meter wire an unpainted part of the engine and the other lead on the negative battery post. You should have something close to "0"
Try these checks and let us know what you found
