SES Light from Sea Foam?

Default SES Light from Sea Foam?

Just put a can of seafoam in the gas tank and a half can in the oil. Have an SES light for the first time. Normal?

I would say no if you put a can in the gas and half in the oil. If you do not have access to a scan tool swing by a local Auto Zone to have them scan it for free

dont leave that in the oil for more than 100 miles.

Changed the oil after 80 miles- black as coal. Turns out that wasn't what caused the SES light. Here's what it was:
