Default steering wheel becomes VERY loose when you hit a bump.

not sure what this is if its my shocks or what.
my ta is a 98 and has 158k miles. runs strong as hell but when i hit a bump the steering wheel becomes very loose. the car handles fine its just hitting bumps is horrible.

anyone have any ideas what needs replaced on my old baby

i would check your inner/outer tie rods.

With 158k, it's probably time to overhaul the whole front end.

Could be either the struts/shocks(esp if they are orig or stockers....or worse orig stockers!!) or a sloppy tie rod as mentioned above

i think mine does this with 50,000 miles... might mostly be the car, I'm used to german stuff (this was not helpful I know)
