Default Help,Help

I just put me ls1 back together again. And the oil press. is only 20 pounds, and will go down after it warm. All i did was mill the heads,polish the crank, and add new bearings,rings,new timing chain.

Did you try the mechanical gauge yet? You have to find out if it is real or just a gauge problem. Try asking in the Gen3 internal forum.

Check the o ring on your oil pump.

Put a real gauge on it before you do anything else.

I put a real gauge in the oil pan peace that you cam unbolt. and it reads the same. Thank you four your help

If you have that pressure with a real gauge, then you very likely have bearing clearance problems, possibly from the polishing you did.

Did you check the clearances as you assembled it?

Pull it back apart and look at the o-ring on the pickup to the pump. If you didn't install it correctly and pinched it, it will bleed off pressure.

Yes we did. It was in the middle of clearances, that it called for

Should I just order a new o-ring and pump? Have you herd of the cam retainer plat gasket leaking past?

Just put a new o ring on it and be done. I doubt that your pump is gone from this.

It is probably your O ring on the oil pump pickup ..replace it and be careful when you do or you will have the same problem again.

Ok we will be getting a new pump in. we will asla going to change the cam plate,o-ring and pump. Wish me luck. You can come help if you want
