Default Just picked up that TA I made a thread about, already have an issue.

Well, it's been pouring rain for the past few days, and today I drove a solid 200 miles in the wetness. On my way home, the car felt like it was almost hesitating or something, it would actually buck a bit when putting a little load on it in 6th (starting at about 1800RPM). Right when this started happening, my service light came on (car has 59k on it). Does this have to do with water getting into the Ram Air? Is this common? Needless to say, this really put a damper on my day. I've been enjoying the car so much, and now this.

Thanks for any input.

BTW: The car has a Suncoast Raptor hood.

No, it's not the hood.

Poor performance in rain is likely either ignition wires or O2 sensors. Check the wires first.

Should it be fine once the car is dry and the weather is better? I'm anxious to see what happens when I start it tomorrow. Hopefully the SES light will be off.

You should hope that the light will still be ON. That way you can get it scanned and know exactly what caused your problem.

Exactly.

There is no reason to panic. Go up to Autozone, get the car scanned for free, and figure out what needs to be fixed. I am going to guess an O2 sensor, which is not a big deal.

Threw a P300, multiple misfire. Btw, it's been dry today and the car is perfectly fine, runnig like a champ. The SES light turned off too, but I was still able to pull the code even after it turned off.

check that your plug wires are on right and dry inside, then check all the connections on your coil packs and make sure they're clean and dry

My car does the same thing, except only when I am in a car wash. It starts running like crap and sometimes the SES light will come on. But it runs perfect in dry weather and even rain. Maybe I need to check my wires also

Don't just forget about it because the problem went away... obviously something is messing up with ur electrical when it gets wet... check spark plug wires are on correctly and arn't damaged or anything. Actually you might as well change the plugs and wires as you have 60k and its time anyway... (I assume you have not changed them yet).

I had this same problem. I found out that it was the O2 extensions that were getting wet. So I went and bought the O2s for a vette, because of their much much longer wires and now need for extensions. Everything works perfect now.
