No what that does is it funnels air to the radiator. Put it back on especially if it is a dd.

i think i got my answer !!! the car with fans programed early still getting 225 and tranny getting hotter that makes me wonder so i put it back on ill recheck with scan tool >>>>>>>>>the air dam pushes air across the radiator. without out the air dam your car will overheat or have the fans on all the time. Put it back on!

Also, turning on the air will always make your car hotter. If you are ever stuck in traffic and your car is starting to run hot, turn on the heater (not the air). The heater will make you more hot, but it helps cool the car. Think of is as an additional cooling fan.

It will also throw off the aerodynamics and should cause the front end to lift up.

I'd still keep it on, but it's a good reason to spend some cash on a cooler thermostat and tranny cooler!
