Default Engine Trouble

So here is the situation. Car is a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. 77000 miles on the engine. Never any problems till this afternoon. Was on my way home and noticed when accelerating from a stop the car would almost hesitate/chug a little bit. No problems with no load on the engine, revs with ease. Under any load in 1st gear or 2ng gear it would chug somewhat, kind of hard to notice but it its definitely happening. Checked engine codes and only code to come up is Theft Deterrent Fuel Enable Signal Not Received. It idles with no problem at all.

Please help with any thoughts or recommendations. Thank You

Check the fuel pressure you can rent the tester from auto zone. The psi should typically be around 41-43 psi.

changed my EGR Valve and still have the problem. The old on was pretty black so it needed to be changed anyways.

Don't know why you'd think this was an EGR problem unless the diaphragm in the valve had ruptured and it was causing a vacuum leak. And per your description, you have the wrong symptoms...particularly with no SES light, which you'd get with a bad EGR. EGR's SHOULD be black as they have exhaust going through them. You test them with a hand held vacuum pump (or you can just suck on the end of a really dirty hose)...if you can/see feel the valve stem move and not return to its original position with vacuum applied, it's good.

Test your fuel pump, as was already mentioned.

Don't throw money at the car without knowing what's wrong, as this will lead to major frustration on your part. Ask lots of questions here.
