Default Torque arm problem?....

is it normal to hear a thud on the floorboard after a tunnel mounted torque arm setup is installed?

it only seems to happen on DEceleration (such as jumping on the gas quickly in 1st gear and letting off) and coming to a complete stop.

also, 9 out of 10 bumps i hit, it makes the thud sound also (i figured this is normal)

checked all bushings, mounts, bolts and nuts and have just about given up. i don't mind the sound so long as there isn't anything seriously wrong

you need to check your transmission mount. bet you $ its kaput. Could also be your exhaust smacking the floor

Already checked the mount, its a poly one, no cracks or anything. If it were the exhaust, where would it be? It's stock manifolds and y with a magnaflow catback

Hey:

Yep thats pretty normal with a tunnel mt TA, mine does all the time. I got use to it after a few thousand miles now I barely notice it, but the wife does when shes in it. Also you'll notice more road noise and the road bumps more just the way they are.
