oil breather smoking

oil breather smoking my friend put a 6.0 in his truck and instead of running the breather hose to the throttle body he jus capped it and put a small breather rite on the valve cover ...... snow it smokes out of the filter whats going on?

Some water and oil caused by the engine heating up.This is what everybody discovers when they take off the T/B and find inside of the intake has a oily slime inside.Caused by heat expansion.Just keep valve cover wiped off and the world is happy.
