I had that same issue with my LS1 Z28 and it turned out to be the check valve in the fuel pump that went bad. it wouldn't keep pressure when the pump was off so when i cranked it over, it was dry of fuel. swapped out pumps and i was good to go. hope this helps

Yeah i agree but what you can do to check that is get a fuel pressure tester. They have them at autozone that you can rent for free. Turn in on in the aux position before you crank it and see what the fuel pressure is like. But it does sound like the fuel pump.

I'm guessing fuel pump also. Try turning the key on engine off like 2 or 3 times to let it prime then crank it over to see if it fires right up

i just dealt witha car like this. i first though check valve in the fuel pump. to check it easy just let it sit overnight and push the valve in on the fuel rail and see if fuel sprays out. on the last car it ended up being the injector relay.

I dont know if this is it..but my T/A does the same and i put Bosch spark plugs in it..after that it dont start on first try. I keep being told its my starter..but its fine i think..had the same issue when someone put bosch on my formula..so perhaps its the plugs you put in?

+1 on fuel checking fuel pressure, That would be my first guess.

Also check the gap on your spark plugs and or change to stock plugs.
