walmart, any auto parts store, a sponsor on here...lots of choices...the cheapest place would probably be walmart, and they have good warranties.

The model 78-7yr AC Delco battery is a beast. It can only have an equal, there's no better battery out there that'll fit and is made for regular passenger cars. And with a 50 month 100% free replacement, it can't be beat for $109.00. Its also the lightest battery. 15 pounds lighter than the Die Hard Platinum.

^great info here. Me and my friends have also had great luck with the Optima Redtops, but then again, those carry a hefty pricetag. Since you where talking about the cheapest place, I'd still have to say walmart. They have batteries for cars ranging from $55-$75 dollar with 1-3 year free repacment warranties

+1. I was shocked when I saw the $169 pricetag on one at AdvanceAuto. That's a pretty big increase since I bought mine a few years back.

I think I had a Red Top like 7-8 years ago, and I remember it being ok. It definitely only lasted a couple years though. But this friggin AC Delco 78 is crazy. I can work on my car for 2-3 hours with my stereo going and it does absolutely nothing to it. It cranks like a powerhouse.

And man, to be headache free for 50 months with a 100% replacement, I couldn't pass that up. $109 isn't cheap like what you can get at Walmart, but 50 months free replacement is awesome to have perhaps the best, most reliable battery made.

The Optima Redtop. I remember paying somewhere around $109, now it's $169. Granted, that was maybe 5 to 6 years ago, but still!

Whatever you get make sure it's at least 690 CCA - in warm climates sometimes they're 550.
