Batman #1, the oil expert, recommends Royal Purple...
I use Moble One with good results as indicated by a Blackstone oil analysis.. ...it is also easy to purchase from a many sources...

There is an oil that is much better than Mobile 1 that you can use that cost about the same price. It is the German made Castrol Syntac. It is top self!! You can get it at AutoZone. Look on the back to make sure that it says made in Germany. The American made version is crap. But, the German Castrol is sold in Europe as Castrol SLX.

Did you read the recent article in Hot Rod? It showed an increase in HP and torque of 8 when conventional oils were replaced with Royal Purple...
In the test, the engine crankcase oil was changed, the auto tranny fluid and the rear gear housing fluid. Royal Purpole was used for all three purposes.....
P.S.
I use Moble 1 since I can always find it in stores...the price is competitive and it is not worth the effort for me to chase down exotic lubricants since I change often (3K). Anyway, it is likely your rear view mirror will fall off, your seats will tear and your paint will fade before your engine bearings wear out from teh use of crappy oil....

The oils I highly recommend are Redline 5w30, Amsoil 0w30 or 5w30, or German made Castrol Syntec 0w30 (this is what I'm running)
If Royal Purple dynos more power, it's probably because it's thinning out so much under stress. Thinner oil will always equal more power. Royal Purple did terribly in my wife's Honda, the oil analysis showed a lot more bearing wear than it should have, and it showed it thinning out to a 5w20 oil in only 2400 miles. So if a 106hp 1.6L engine can thin it out like this (and this engine does not have a history of thinning out oils easily either), imagine how a higher horsepower engine can??

BTW Robert, I really do NOT appreciate being misquoted like you did above. You know FULL WELL I do not recommend Royal Purple, so why are you spreading such lies? You sure like stirring up trouble don't you?
