99 steering rack bolts

Default 99 steering rack bolts

I'm gonna cut one when i get down to it, anybody know the size of the bolts that hold the rack and pinion to the car? wanna get a new one before i get started.

Why are you gonna cut it? To get it out i assume. I replaced the rack in my car and had to take the motor mount bolt out to raise the engine and let the bolt clear the pan. When I put them back in I installed them reversly so they come out the front now.

I think you will have to order that bolt from the dealer.

i use some from lowes.......i cut the 1 on the drivers side.....

i had the passenger side with me to match the threads and lenght.......dont remember the size

nevermind unbolting the motor mount was easy.
