Hey guys, i got a ses light and its p030 which catalyst effencincy low bank 2, so i picked up and o2 sensor and then was doing a little searching and saw saomething about a service bulliten about the cats on camaros and firebirds. was wondering if anyone had anymore information about this and there being a warrnaty on it.
Its a 2000 z28 51000 miles

You are throwing a code for a cat failing. Either get an O2 sim, get the PCM tuned for those codes to be shutoff, or get the PCM and some headers.

That code will not hurt the car, just get it turned off and either get some hi-flow cats (which I reccomend) or get an ORY and delete the cats from the PCM.

GM extended the cat warranty on 00-02 LS1 F-cars to 10 years/120K back in December 2006. Mileage won't get you, but the time might depending on when the car was put into service. Won't hurt to ask a dealership.

I stopped by the dealer today to see what they would say, it looks like my 10 years is up but they did find out that the cats were replaced in 2005. I guess this gives me a good excuse to get an ORY

when replacing the cat for tis should you be replacing the 02 sensor too?
