yes, the pressure switch will keep the system off if there is no refrigerant.

You'll probably need to jump the clutch straight to the battery in order to charge the system.

two pieces of wire, with alligator clips (go to Radio Shack). Unplug the compressor, attach a wire on each terminal on the compressor, attach the other end to each terminal on the battery. Doesn't matter which is pos and which is neg. Don't let the alligator clips touch each other on the compressor, or you'll get lots of sparks.

Or you can disconnect the connector from the low pressure switch on the drier and use a paperclip to jump the 2 terminals

since the f-car ls1 does not have a low pressure switch on the drier, I am unsure what you would jumper on the f-car ls1 system.

You can use the 2 jumper clip approach, or using tuning software or a tech2, just command the AC clutch relay on.

No, switch on the upstream side of the orifice tube will be the HP transducer.

True, but using the Tech2 or tuning software requires a whole lot more investment than 4 alligator clips and a dime's worth of wire.

Your approach is fine, and is much cheaper than the tech2 or tuning software.

The jumper the low pressure switch is not on these the f-cars, since there isjust a pressure transducer. Sure ford cars with the low pressure switch as mentioned on the drier is no problem to jumper with a paperclip.
