headlight noise, please help

Default headlight noise, please help

ok.. my friend has a ws6 that when he turns off his lights the drivers side motor makes a loud and obnoxious noise, ive had this problem with one of my ws6's and i just cant remember what i did, i think i just bought a new motor, any thoughts?

and if you guys might know why when he hits the unlock button on the remote, both lights pop up and down?

Plastic gear in the motor is getting stripped on the usable half of that gear. Flip that sucker over and get some more years out of it. I flipped one of mine over back in 2004, still perfect.

Both lights popping up is a direct result of it. There's other hilarious things it causes too.

The gear is stripped (plastic gear),but only half the gear is used. He has three options

1. Open the motor and use the other half of the gear (easy to do)

2. Buy the brass gear and in stall (easy to do)

3. Buy a new or used motor
