Can I tow a 02 chevy 4x4 truck backwards with the rear wheels on the car dolly?

As long as it's just a short distance, no problem. If it's longer, put it on a trailer. Backwards on a dolly, and the alignment angles get so bad that you'll kill the front tires in pretty short order.

You could also pull the drive shaft and flat tow it.

I wouldn't tow it backwards because you have to get the wheel perfectly straight or it will wander back and forth. I would instead just pull the rear drive shaft and tow it that way. A couple u joint straps and the drive shaft pops out.

I don't know which T-case you have...but you might be able to put the t-case in neutral and not have to pull the ds. Then you could tow it on a dolly correctly or flat tow.
