Default pulling e-brake up hard make it come lose

So I have an M6 and when I'm in a hurry and pull the e-brake up pretty fast it like comes off track or something and just pulls up with no tension and no clicking and wont lock. When I do it slow I have not problems. Any ideas or should I just slow down?

Sounds like at some point your rear rotors were changed and the parking brake was not adjusted for them. (The e-brake needs to be adjusted on each side of the car when the rear rotors are off.) The only fix is to take the rear rotors off and adjust them.

BTW - In your current situation, your e-brake will not hold with full force, until you are adjusted.
