i have two codes p-440 p-443 i know there auxiliary emissions.but can any one narrow it down a little

My girlfriends Cavalier throws P0440 once every few months, I just clear it since I already changed the gas cap. You can look up the codes/diagnostics at gearchatter.com. Under P0440 it says if P0443 is also set diagnose that code first. They're both EVAP codes.
