Default Restore Firehawk Centercaps??? Tabs Broke

So I have 4 firehawk centercaps that have a little dirt under plastic and most of the plastic tabs broke off the back (great design!!...)

Question has anyone restored these? taken off the plastic, cleaned and put the plastic back on?

Also since the tabs are broke, any options to put them on the wheels? silicone or glue or something?

Thanks
T

I've never had a problem with these firehawk center caps, but back in the day - i bought an extra set of 4, just in case. I knew one day they wouldnt be available from SLP anymore.

As for repairing one, I doubt it. What ever is done will have to be solid enough to put up with the spinning of the wheel, or you could lose it completely.

What is the marking on the back of the cap, denoting the material?

Do you still have the tabs? It looks like they are the ABS part. You can weld them back on with ABS Pipe Cement - good as new.

If not, have you googled for them, checked eBay, or called SLP? They are easily had for all the other models of these cars, even the WS6.
