what is that little cushion under intake

what is that little cushion under intake I installed the intake back on an LS1 and then realized I had forgotten to put two little square cushions that go under intake and on top of knock sensor wires. Does anyone know what these are for and if I should remove intake again just to install them cause I peeled off the old ones. Thanks in advance for the help
