if you change your oil every 3k, it dont matter what oil you use, I oil of choice would be quaker state green bottle 5w30 with wix or pure one filter,

but if you want step up to 5k+ oil change, I would use Pennzoil ultra or platium with Mobil 1 or K&N oil filter.

My currently running for 10K oil change is quaker state synthetic 5w30 with K&N oil filter.

stay with 5w30 10w30 range.

if you have High miles I would use Mobil 1 High miles 5w30, it have alot ZINC/ZDDP 1000+, it help protect your old engine, ofcourse My oil filter of choice would be wix, pure 1, bosh, mobil 1 K&N.

Not pushing it at all if you have it analyzed. I've got 40k on the oil in my F-350 diesel.
Don't expect results like this with off the shelf oil in either a gas or diesel engine.

I use Shaeffer Oil. I love that stuff! Gas mileage increased by 4mpg after the 2nd change, and after having the oil analyzed, I only change it every 10k.

It is just overpriced oil.

I would use the castrol.

Lightbulb OMG another oil post?

I use the cheapest API certified oil I can find in the recommended grade for your location, with a bottle of STP (15oz) oil treatment. That with an el-cheapo oil filter and no more than 7000 miles/one year between changes. Saves you HUGE amounts of $ and you will not have an oil related failure in your motor, but ONLY IF YOU DO THE WORK YOURSELF (making sure its done, and done right).

Bust the myths about oils!
