Default SES light is on cat issue .

i just had a quick question .

my ses light is on and its on of the cats thats gone bad .

this is a daily driver and kinda wanna keep it as stock as possible .

will gutting the cats remove the ses light?

i do have a set of ebay long tubes and ORY but wanna see if i can get the light gone by just hollowing the cats .

how much rasp will the hollw cats make ? not doing it for performance would just like to delete the ses and still pass my visual smog check . thanks !

No you cant hollow the cats to get the SES light off. Thats the whole point. The O2 sensor after the cat is checking to see if the gas after the cat is different from the air before it.

If you just want to have the light off you can have it Tuned out. Other wise you'll either need to have have the Cat replaced... or maybe you can have it blown clean if you lucky.

it can clear it but it'll come right back probably

you'll need to find someone with a tuner to tune it out of the pcm.
