Default PCV valve leaking oil

When i put my finger under the pcv valve it was covered in oil. I'm assuming the valve is bad or do i have other problems ? Could i just go to the auto parts store and buy one or is this a dealer part ? I have taken the valve off before because i replaced the hose from the TB to the valve.

Thanks

The valve can be bought at most auto part stores, i bought one today at autozone, it was like $3, i bought a stock replacement but have been reading alot about a fixed orfice pcv valve (looks the same but is hollow inside and has a much smaller hole) here is a link to a forum about pcv valves and a way to replace them without buying the stock housing. i did this same procedure except i used a new stock pcv. ill try it out and if i dont like it i will try the fixed orfice pcv valve people suggest. but i am tempted to just go buy the new fixed orfice one and put it in.

dont know if i helped any but good luck to you.
