misfiring? anybody?
P0300 - engine misfire detected
flashing on my 2000 SS and my 2000 Silverado, has anybody figured out what causes this code? it feels like a shake at idle but no bucking at cruising speed, no characteristics of an actual misfire, just a random shake at low idle and the PCM code. thier both deffinatly hittin on all 8.

flashing means "multiple" misfires detected.
Dirty fuel filter
dirty fuel injectors
or a PCM problem. Maybe a loose ground wire.
When an 02 sensor(s) start to fail, in the early stages, it will effect just your idle. When under load it will seem fine. You will NOT get an SES light or a code from a failing 02 sensor until things are so terrible the engine will hardly run.
Go get a scan and see how the 02 sensors are switching with the engine running.

i should have specified that its not "flashing" per say on my guage cluster, is a constant light on my camaro and a history code on my silverado with no light. the camaro has brand new injectors and fuel filter, the truck has 150k on the injectors and a new fuel filter. checked o2s on the scanner and their all reading, as well as MAF values. the silverado isnt picking up any current or history misfires in the datestream. strange thing on the truck is the upstream o2's are jumping from 800+ to 30ish and the downstream ones are only jumping 110-140 to 20-40...
