High Idle? Is it normal?

Default High Idle? Is it normal?

My car idles at 1,000 Rpm on idle and when I turn the steering wheel it lowers a little..and when I stop turning it will go back to 1,000 rpm. is it normal? Thought cars idle'd alot lower then 1,000

No tune yet? That could throw it off, automatics idle lower than manuals too, my auto idled around 550 stock, with my big cam on a Good day it'll idle 650,but alot of the time it's a little high like yours, right at 1,000, but my next dynotune I plan on having it lowered. Could be vacuum leak if it's the right size.. I once had a line come off on my v6 in high school and the car would idle at 3 grand, try driving that crap home! Haha

P.s. When I pulled my 100k ls1 the vacuum lines basically crumbled. Even though lines are connected doesn't mean they don't leak or have cracks
