Default Can you clean a belt??? Squeaky Vette

Working on a stock 2000 C5 Vette. My main belt is a few hundred miles old, but my greasy oily hands have been all over it. I cleaned it and all of the pulleys with brake clean and I still have the cold start squeak and chirp that goes away once warm. And chirp chirp over 2000 RPMS. Ive replaced the tensioner and the idler and like I said the belt is basically new. Ive pulled the AC belt off and still had the squeak and put it on and pulled the main belt off and it was gone. I do have a ASP crank pulley.

Thanks in advanced,

Im gonna try and clean the contacts on the altenator with sand paper. I saw a thread where a guy did that and it resolved his issue. Ive got my fingers crossed but Im not holding my breath.
